Third Grade Teacher

I have chosen the career of teaching because children are my passion.  Since I was a child I was tasked to be the “Teacher” when we played school.  Also, seeing children succeed makes my heart happy so I’m excited about this new year.

One of the things that I admire about CATA is the leadership of CATA.  I truly feel the leadership has its staff in mind with everything the team does.  Another thing that I appreciate about CATA is how welcoming and family-like it is.  When I started in the middle of the school year I was nervous and I didn’t know how they would welcome me, however I was welcomed with open arms.

I love to serve!  I love seeing people succeed!  Therefore, I think students’ lives will be better because I have a real love for these children.  I want to make sure that when children leave my classroom or presence they are better than they were when they came to me.  I want these children to know that they are loved and someone outside the home also cares about them.  When I leave this earth (because I’m staying at CATA) I want everyone to remember me by how I served (what I did and how I made an impact) not what I said.
