Arrival and Dismissal Updates

*AM drop off for Breakfast: 7:40am. Breakfast begins at 7:45am & ends at 8:00am. Students arriving after 8:00 will not receive breakfast.

*Students are tardy as of 8:10am and parents must come inside to sign them in. This is a change from the original welcome letter sent out in June.

*Dismissal begins at 3:35pm. On nice days, students will be dismissed from playground via PikMyKid app, which is now up and running. ALL PARENTS MUST USE PIKMYKID to announce that they are here to pick up their children. Please encourage your child(ren) to walk quickly and quietly to the playground to cut down on parents’ wait time. Unfortunately, the longer it takes for students to get orderly (for safety reasons), the longer it takes for us to dismiss.

*On bad weather days, students will be dismissed from homerooms after they are announced via PikMyKid app. Again, for the safety of our students, we will only dismiss via PikMyKid.

*If parents do not have the app, CATA staff will be outside the playground with QR codes, available for parents to register and set up an account. CATA can then announce for that parent, allowing the teacher to dismiss from the line. The next day, the parent should be all set to announce their arrival to use the app themselves.

Please be patient as new procedures take time to become routine. We are doing all we can to create a safe and orderly dismissal.

We are also working on internal communication to make sure our little ones do not get lost moving from the classroom, to OASIS, to bus door, or to the playground. There are a lot of moving parts for 571 students and 40+ staff. We take the safety of our students seriously and that may mean a longer wait time to ensure they are all where they need to be safely. So again, asking for your grace and thank you in advance for your patience.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 614-577-0900.

Thank you and as always, have a blessed CATA day!
