Seventh & Eighth Grade Science Teacher

When I was in elementary school I decided I wanted to be a teacher, just like my mother. As I grew up my reasons changed and evolved many times. ”I love working with kids, this will be easy” and “Teachers get holidays and summers off, that will be great!”  The end result as I made my final decision to become a teacher was a combination of all these stereotypical thoughts with one big difference.  I wanted to help change the world. I was taught to use a meaningful quote on my resume and my choice sums up why I chose to become an educator. “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.” – Whitney Houston. Team CATA has been my family since 2012 and I truly value, respect and love the staff.  I have learned a great deal from my co-workers about myself and my teaching abilities.  Having the ability to ask questions, learn and help others in a school that respects differences has made working at CATA an enjoyable experience.

I pride myself on being honest with my students and doing my best to build a good relationship with them. When my students leave my class I hope they know they are loved for who they are, they are proud of their unique qualities and they are confident as they move on.
