October 10th– Picture Day!!!!
Students were sent home with picture purchase forms. If you would like to purchase photos please complete the form and return with child.
October 19th– Parent/ Teacher Conferences
Please contact the office to schedule an appointment to meet with me. I would love to meet with each and every one of you! My appointments will begin at 1:30pm and extend to 6:00pm.

Please check with your child to make sure that they have brought in School Supplies. Please let me know if you need a School Supply List sent home. Third Graders need a set of head phones/earbuds for use with the Chrome Books as we administer mostly ALL Assessments online weekly. We also need 6 Folders and 6 Spiral Notebooks for each Subject Area: Spelling/Vocabulary, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading for journaling and note taking during instructional time. Students need to have 1 Folder designated for their Homework and Parent Communication. In addition, students need the following: scissors, glue sticks, pencils, notebook paper, crayons, rulers, pencil top erasers and large pink erasers (if not sent in yet). Thank you in advance for making sure that our students have the necessary supplies to be successful in class!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS ARE DUE BY OCTOBER 31, 2017. OUR THIRD GRADE CLASS CODE IS: GLTDV.
We will begin participating in the Reading Incentive BOOK IT! Students’ have an opportunity to earn a Pizza Hut certificate for a FREE Personal Pizza from Pizza Hut for reading every night and completing the weekly Reading Log. This reading incentive will begin October 2017 and will continue until the Spring.
Please check, correct and sign your students homework and Weekly Behavior Agenda daily. Please send me a message via: Class Dojo, email, or call me or send a note with your child if there are any concerns regarding the completion of homework. All homework is due the next day. Incomplete and missing homework assignments will result in Recess Detention.

Math: Practice and Homework Lesson 1.12 Problem Solving*Model Addition and Subtraction. Ask your child to explain to you The Commutative Property of Addition and The Associative Property of Addition.
Reading Comprehension: Reread A Small School and answer the 5 questions in complete sentences.
Math: Reteach Lesson 1.12 Problem Solving*Model Addition and Subtraction. Ask your child to explain to you The Commutative Property of Addition and The Associative Property of Addition.
Spelling: Week #7 Part A: Find the words hiding in the puzzle. Part B: Circle the correct spelling of the spelling words.
